Some typefaces weren’t made for screen use. Others are poorly designed. But this test paragraph is typeset in a well made, screen-optimized typeface. If it looks faint, or smudged, or crispy, or if you see pixel blobs, the problem isn’t the type, it’s layers of rendering technology between the type and you.
